Our Founders

Rajshree Gupta, born and raised in Kolkata, the vibrant “City of Joy,” has always been deeply influenced by its rich art and cultural heritage. She is a B.Ed (Hons) from Loreto College, Kolkata. She successfully ran an online library for five years, catering to children aged 2-12, where books were delivered to members’ doorsteps. This initiative aimed to foster a love for reading in children, encouraging them to read more rather than spend excessive time on screens.

Rajshree firmly believes in giving back to society, recognizing the countless ways in which we unknowingly benefit from it. Motivated by this philosophy, she became an active member of the “Mother Teresa Club,” which has been dedicated to charity work for the past seven years. The club focuses on various causes, including education, assisting the needy, and providing medical donations.

Her four-year association with the club has taught her that there are numerous ways to make a positive impact and that even small efforts can significantly help those in need. Sharing a common vision with Suyash Gupta, Rajshree is committed to ensuring that through the Ujjwalam Foundation, they continue to “do their share” for years to come.
